British Universities Rowing Regatta
Holme Pierrepont, Saturday May 18, 1996
Races from 0930 to 1730; Strong Following wind !!
All top Universities (except Oxbridge!) represented, although
Nottingham, Imperial and Brookes were all depleted by International
commitments and Durham were hit by Exams. Nottingham retained the
Universities Championship for the third year by a huge margin and
remain undefeated as BUSA Champions since the inception of the
Regatta in 1994. There was some excellent, close racing and the entry
of nearly 200 crews from over 40 Institutions reflects the strength
of both British Student Rowing and the event itself.
Events are divided into;
1 Championship University First boats
2 Junior Second Boats, or First Boats with no-one with more
than 2 ARA points (nothing to do with age!)
3 Novice As per ARA status on May 5, 1996
4 Victor Ludorum Champion Club, each Final scores 6pts for 1st, to
1pt for 6th
